Harry Kane claims to be focused on the World Cup and Tottenham.  The England striker is not bothered about rumours linking him to Bayern Munich.

With the year winding down, most talk is centred around the World Cup in Qatar later in November. As most countries prepare for the Mundial, so are the players. Their main concern is staying fit and getting selected for the squad for the tournament.

One of the countries that usually gets worked up every World Cup is England. The Premier League is well-known, and many believe England should always dominate the tournament. They think England should have won more than the one fortuitous World Cup won in 1966. The reality is that the Three Lions are nothing but paper Lions.

Beyond the World Cup, clubs are worried about how some of their players will return from the tournament. The stars will attract attention, and most clubs will want to keep their players till at least the end of the season. Spurs are worried about Harry Kane, especially with the increased interest from Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich.

Bayern Munich still have eyes for Kane

For many years, the performance of Harry Kane has attracted the attention of many top clubs. Manchester City attempted to sign him a couple of years ago. The deal fell through, and the England captain remained at Tottenham.

Spurs are, however, worried with recent developments showing a keen interest in Kane by one of Europe’s elite clubs. According to 90min, Bayern Munich are interested in Harry Kane, and Spurs are unsure if they can stave off the interest in their star player. 90min reports that the Bavarian club is stepping up its pursuit of the forward.

Ahead of Spurs' UEFA Champions League clash with Eintracht Frankfurt this week, Kane told Football.London he's focused on Tottenham and is trying to do his best to ensure the club wins laurels. The England international addressed the rumours linking him with a move to Bayern as he tries to put to bed any distractions.

Bayern Munich need a clinical striker

Following the departure of Robert Lewandowski to Barcelona this summer, the Bavarians signed Sadio Mane from Liverpool to fill the void. The Senegalese striker is not in the mould of Lewandowski, and Bayern Munich seems to accept that they need a striker that can score plenty of goals.

Harry Kane has denied any approach from the German side and claims to be focused on Tottenham and the World Cup. According to Kane, he wants to help Tottenham win their next game.

The English forward also spoke about the World Cup and his fear of getting injured before the tournament starts. Kane was taken off in the 1-0 Spurs win over Brighton at the weekend with a knock. The England international seems to have recovered in time for the game against Frankfurt.

Kane said that he had said it at the international camp. The Spurs attacker said whenever you think about injuries or getting injured, it almost has the wrong effect. He claims to go into every game trying to give 120% for the team.
